Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Sunday commented that the government was cheating people by spreading false assurances. Speaking at a cadre training programme in Bhairahawa of Rupandehi today, Deuba said the government consisting major leftist forces of the nation was just in a bid to extend its term. Maintaining that his party wanted to hold the local elections at the earliest, Deuba said the incumbent KP Sharma Oli-led government, however, did not want to hold the polls though it included the plan in its annual policy and programme.
